Primary School Education at Sherwood Hall encompasses a holistic approach to education and development, allowing our students to flourish academically and through non-scholastic activities.
Primary School comprises Grades 1 to 5. At this level, the students study the CBSE Syllabus prescribed by NCERT. The language of instruction and learning is in English, with the exception of the second language subjectt - Tamil.
At the Primary Level the focus remains on understanding concepts rather than the rote memorisation of facts. Various innovative methods are used to make learning fun and enjoyable. Extra aids such as audio-visual and experiential learning is given priority.

Sherwood Hall was founded by Mrs Olga Frohlich, an educationist and a Visionary. Her love for children and education prompted her to found the School in June 1971. It started as a small school with the Nursery Section and classes 1 to 7.
